We at
Hisaar Foundation are geared up to provide aid to the
displaced people of Swat Malakand and other areas, both in the
immediate and medium term. In our previous relief efforts we
have seen that the most neglected areas are water, sanitation,
hygiene, health and cooking facilities especially for women.
Our efforts in this case, therefore, will be focused on
providing clean drinking water, sanitation facilities, cooking
facilities and supplies for hygiene and health
We are collaborating with our
partners National Rural Support Program for developing
and maintaining these services in NRSP camps at Mardan and
Swabi. We appeal to you for providing us cash and in-kind to
purchase and/or supply the following as soon as possible:

Clean and safe drinking
water

Toilets for women and
children
-
Cooking facilities
(including stoves and fuel)
-
Vitamins, supplements,
medicines and first aid supplies
-
Sanitary supplies for women
Supplies
of food items, milk and blankets will also be accepted if in
bulk and with transport costs included.
The target of this appeal is
Pak Rs 5 million (in cash and kind), to be raised and supplied
by end December 2009.
Please
note that due to considerable expense and time involved in
physically transporting aid items to Mardan and Swabi from
Karachi, we would prefer donations by cheque or in cash.
Members, volunteers and staff of Hisaar Foundation are
donating their time voluntarily for this cause
