Hisaar Foundation, formally registered (under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984), a as non-profit organization, is a premier institution that is geared towards providing a platform for bringing together issues of water, food and livelihood and seeking solutions relevant for the water-food-livelihood nexus in an integrated manner. It is an innovative organization that promotes Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and environmental conservation.
Hisaar Foundation's vision is balancing environment with development through innovation. The Mission of the Foundation is to promote creative, low-cost solutions and policies for conservation in Pakistan by working on water, food, livelihood and climate change issues. Its programmes include creating partnership among stakeholders, developing solutions and emergency support .
Hisaar Foundation has three organizational goals to support its vision and mission. These goals are:

The Organizational Strategies include:
- Continuous advocacy and dialogues with policy makers, decision makers, government, civil society and corporate sector on conservation policies, methods and behavioral change
- Developing and maintaining platforms for civil society, corporate sector and government to collaborate, jointly own and solve problems
- Testing, piloting and dissemination of solutions
- Implementing programmes through partner organizations
