We
at Hisaar Foundation are
providing aid to the displaced people of
Swat Malakand and other areas, both in
the immediate and medium term. In our
previous relief efforts we saw that the
most neglected areas are water,
sanitation, hygiene, health and cooking
facilities especially for women. Our
efforts in this case, therefore, are
focused on providing clean drinking
water, sanitation facilities, cooking
facilities and supplies for hygiene and
health.
Our
relief work is being carried out
collaborating with our partners National Rural Support Program for developing and maintaining these
services in NRSP camps at the following
locations:
District
Swabi
AMN
Camp in Sher Adda (run by Distict Nazim,
Mr Shahram) had 1000 tents for minimum
6000 people (1000 families)
District Mardan
85
families living in camps in three
schools in Aslam Killi in Takht Bahi.
Total number of persons in the
camps are 602.
An in-kind donation of 602 antibiotic
injections for the displaced persons
residing in these camps has also been
provided for the affectees.

Message From
the Chair |

|
|
Dear Friends and Concerned Citizens,
We
live in times of climate change, natural
disasters, water shortages, pollution and people
living in increasingly marginalized environments
Come and join our efforts for a
world where water is judiciously used, where
sufficient food is produced and where people are
able to earn livelihoods with dignity. In Hisaar
Foundation, we are working on strategic
platforms that promote, influence and
participate in the conservation of water,
environment and food resources, thereby
protecting livelihoods. We are also continuing
to undertake relief, disaster response, and
emergency support initiatives as and when
needed.
I look forward to international
regional and national collaborations for
building a world that is based on responsible
development and conservation of the Earth's
resources.
