Consultative Conference on expected Heat Wave in Karachi at PMA House<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hisaar Foundation participated in a consultative conference jointly organized by Farozaan and Pakistan Medical Association.\u00a0 This was the third and last meeting in a series of consultative meetings to discuss and formulate concrete suggestions to combat the impending heat wave in Karachi in the summer months with its peak in the month of Ramazan.\u00a0 Ms. Sanaa Baxamoosa, General Manager Hisaar Foundation represented Hisaar Foundation at the consultation.\u00a0 She was also invited to speak about the importance of World Water Day and shed some light on the UN Water theme of \u201dWater and Jobs\u201d for the year 2016.<\/p>\n

World Water Day Seminar at MUET<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ms Saleha Atif and Ms Rida Baqai represented Hisaar Foundation at the World Water Day Seminar at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, organized by U.S Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) to highlight the importance and judicious use of water. Renowned water experts including Dr. M. Aslam Chaudhry, Mr. M. Idrees Rajput, Mr. Shah Mahmood Nawaz and Mr. Naseer Memon gave presentations on the occasion and shared information regarding the prevailing water situation, globally and in Pakistan. At the end of the seminar Hisaar Foundation’s Public Service Messages about water conservation were played for the audience.<\/p>\n

Media Campaign on Water<\/strong><\/p>\n

Throughout the day on 22nd<\/sup> March and the weeks following up to it, Hisaar Foundation media partners News One and Tv One ran a campaign on water which was aimed at creating awareness and highlighting the urgency of water issues in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<\/div>
